Technical Writer

Cortina Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to support a government customer in Albuquerque, NM.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Duties:

• Writes and updates material for reports, presentations, briefs, and other related technical and administrative publications


• Provide support in designs of official correspondence, briefings, classified and unclassified reports to support strategic messaging


• Manage configuration control of products provided to relevant shareholders


• Develop art and copy layouts for classified and unclassified material to be presented by various means to shareholders


• Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology


• Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, government personnel, and other contractors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Graphic Design, or related field


• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Technical Writer; additional experience may be used in lieu of degree


• Proficiency of Microsoft Office and Adobe products


• Proficiency in graphic design software and publishing tools


• Ability to gather technical information from SMEs


• Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and consistency


• Active Top Secret Security clearance
