Job Description - Technical Writer

Location: Panama City, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Security Clearance: Secret

AERMOR is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Writer to support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts for NSWC PCD’s RDT&E networks, labs, and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, editing, and maintaining cybersecurity documentation in compliance with Department of the Navy (DoN) and DoD security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and edit technical documentation, incorporating input from users, specialists, analysts, programmers, and management personnel.
Write, format, and develop technical and non-technical content, ensuring clarity for different audiences.
Create and edit graphic presentations of technical information for reporting and presentations.
Ensure compliance with technical documentation standards and cybersecurity policies.
Support NSWC PCD A&A processes, preparing and tracking Navy A&A packages in DoN eMASS (Unclassified and Classified).
Maintain comprehensive cybersecurity documentation for Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation.
Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to update and improve compliance reports, risk assessments, and security documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience with the Navy A&A process and Navy eMASS system.
SEC+ or equivalent certification required.
Proficiency in developing, editing, and formatting technical documentation for IT systems.
Basic understanding of computer processing concepts and IT terminology.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with DoD RMF, A&A processes, and cybersecurity best practices.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity compliance requirements and technical standards.
