Position Summary:

 The Technician 2 will assist in the remanufacturing of diesel engine fuel injection components in order to provide high quality parts and timely service that will exceed our customers’ expectations.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Clean, teardown, assemble or test multiple tasks, without any supervision.   
• Uses chemical and mechanical methods to clean incoming fuel injection components. 
• Teardown of cleaned assemblies using hand and small power tools as needed. 
• Uses various tools and equipment to assemble fuel injection components. 
• Uses various tools and equipment to test fuel injection components. 
• Uses measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and indicators. 
• Uses computer systems and software to control test processes and record data. 
• Must follow documented procedures and work instructions. 
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
   

Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): 

• Previous experience in a diesel fuel shop preferable.  High school diploma or GED, College or trade school automotive repair training and good mechanical aptitude highly desirable with a willingness to learn.  
• Uses all required Personal Protective Equipment.  
• Follows all required company Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions. 
• Understands importance of excellent Customer Service.   
• Detail oriented, results driven, fosters Teamwork, and maintains a safe and healthy working environment.  
• Must have some keyboarding and computer skills.  

Physical Demands & The Work Environment: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Shop environment that can include exposure to loud noises, dirt, and dust.
• Ability to squat, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and bend over.
• Ability to lift objects to and above shoulder level.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds.  
• This is a stand-up position that requires standing at a work bench while working.
