Technician, Discharge Lounge - Discharge Lounge - FULL TIME DAYS M-F 945AM-615PM Mullica Hill

MAJOR FUNCTION: 

The Discharge Lounge Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintain a safe, clean environment in the discharge lounge, assists licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs. This position will utilize Capacity Management to facilitate throughput and accurate patient location data to assist with the discharge process and transport patients as necessary. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience as unit clerk/nurse’s aide, or transporter preferred         

Certifications/ Licensure: 

• PCT/ CNA preferred.
• Certified Unit Coordinator preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
• Ability to work independently and know when to ask questions.
