Technician, Grounds

Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Doral, Florida is looking for a Grounds Technician. The Grounds Technician will be responsible for maintenance, installation, and other janitorial duties needed around the cemetery.

Essential Functions:

• All landscape and maintenance duties include:
• Weeding
• Edging
• Mulch installation
• Plant Installation
• Perform general janitorial duties as assigned.
• The position required frequent walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of small engine equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, edgers, etc. (weighing 35-135 lbs.)
• Occasionally climbing, kneeling, crawling, and reaching is required.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stairs or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods, etc.

Supervisory Functions:

• Provides orientation to new employees as needed.
• May serve as an interim department leader depending on need.

Other Duties:

• Must maintain your mandatory skills up to date.
• Comply with all policies, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
