ATP Technician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical testing on engineering prototypes and production samples to qualify aerospace interconnect products. will set up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions. Primary function is to maintain the operation of technical assemblies. Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification. Visually inspects components and assemblies for conformance to product standards. Reviews and understands electrical and mechanical test procedures. Operates and maintains test equipment. Collects and analyzes test data. Executes test programs on schedule through collaboration with engineers and third-party test labs. Incorporates changes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and safety of test procedures. Experience with general electrical test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, etc. Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Experience in an Aerospace testing and quality environment. Perform work with limited to no supervision. High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum of 1-3 years with Manufacturing Environment experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Detailed knowledge of Aerospace product, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques. Excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process specifications, drawings, and work orders. 2-3 years' experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations Ability to use calculators. Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools. Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown. Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
