Technician II - Metering
Essential job functions include, but are not limited
to:
Install, Program, Inspect meters and meter related equipment,
such as, PTs, CTs, Bypass Switches, meter related communications
equipment and other equipment related to meter installations.
Test meters and meter circuits in accordance with ANSI standards
and SPP regulations.
Repair equipment found to be faulty in accordance with
manufacture recommendations.
Replace equipment when found to be cost effective and enhance
reliability.
Coordinate with other crafts on logistics and assigned
projects.
Use Asset Management tools to track tasks, work performed, parts
and labor.
Secure equipment and materials needed to complete a project and
check it out through the warehouse using the correct project codes and
work order numbers.
Help ensure all projects are performed in the safest manner in
accordance with GRDA, APPA and other governing rules and
regulations.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:
Must be able to work individually and as a team member.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Must have strong process troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to perform duties safely without direct
supervision
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word,
Excel, Teams, etc.).
Education, Training, Experience:
Two years’ experience in the craft or completion of two years in
a four-year apprenticeship program or completion of a two year course of
study related to Metering or a similar field at a recognized trade,
technical or vocational school.
Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within
30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an
Oklahoma resident.
Physical Requirements:
Must be comfortable working around high voltage and at heights on
a daily basis.
Must be able to handle weights up to 15 lb. on an infrequent
basis.
Requires bending as needed for filing of documents.
Ability to see, hear, speak, sit, climb, and stand for long
periods of time.
Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some
duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, arc flash rated
clothing etc.).
Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty
(30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with
weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, workload, and plant
conditions.
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. from the floor level, and
push/pull heavy objects while standing, crouching, and in bent
posture.
Must be able to read reports and use computer.

Position is located at Transmission Headquarters in Pryor,
OK
