Position Summary

The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing automotive parts and systems while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves direct customer interaction and performing a wide range of repairs, including brakes, steering and suspension, drivability, emissions, electrical systems, HVAC, maintenance services, and major engine repairs. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles accurately while properly caring for and securing them during service. This role follows a “do it right the first time” philosophy, limiting comebacks to no more than two within a four-week period. Technicians are expected to maintain at least 90% productivity and 100% training completion, comply with company policies and safety standards, maintain certifications, and serve as a technical resource for team members. Strong customer focus, integrity, and clear communication are essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  High school diploma or equivalent

  Minimum 6 months’ experience as a certified technician or mechanic

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling. Requires effective communication, computer use, reading small print, and safe vehicle operation. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
