The Technician, Stator is responsible for the precision support work to support assembly of the advanced electric motor systems in a high-reliability manufacturing environment. This role supports the transition from pilot builds to scalable production by supporting the assembly of the electric motor with strict adherence to process controls, quality standards, and traceability requirements in the efforts to prepare potted coils, clean coils, prep and clean molds, SMCs and other tasks as assigned by the Stator Supervisor. They collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify process improvements, ensure build integrity, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform assembly of potted coils using hand tools and torquing tools
Perform final coil preparation using grinding tools, hand tools and approved cleaning supplies
Prep SMC discs with hand sanding pneumatic tools, files and use of CNC machining
Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, SOPs, and engineering drawings with strict process discipline
Capture build data in MES or digital checklists; ensure full traceability as required
Support pilot-build scaling: feedback on tooling, fixtures, line layout, process improvements, 5S/ESD discipline
Perform in-process inspections and adhere to quality expectations, ensuring quality concerns are escalated to the Stator Supervisor and / or Quality department
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering and Hardware Engineering; provide clear feedback for Design for Manufacturing and process refinement
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, needed, or required for the business.

Qualifications include:
Education, Experience and Certifications
3-5 years in aerospace, EV, electrical machines, electronics assembly, automotive, seamstress or similar manufacturing
Motor/generator assembly experience a plus
Lean, 5S, and pilot line experience a plus
MES/digital traveler familiarity preferred
Skills and Abilities
Skilled in electromechanical assembly, potting/epoxy, and precision mechanical work
Able to interpret drawings, schematics, and torque specifications
Experienced working as part of a production cell, having internal customers dependent upon the output of your work
Role Classification and Working Conditions
This is an hourly, non-exempt-level position. This position typically works in a production/assembly/engineering lab environment. Overtime may be required.
Physical/Other Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Fine motor control and precision hand work for extended periods.
Ability to travel, as needed, by plane, automobile, etc.
