Technician, Warranty

Detail essential job responsibilities, requirements and key deliverables for the role:

• Tear down, inspect, and analyse warranty returns for possible failure modes.

• Create and submit warranty reports for all returns.

• Use test equipment to test turbo components for functionality.

• Create and close service orders for warranty returns.

• Track and monitor warranty failure modes for trends and provide feedback to all stakeholders.

• Lead in warranty improvement projects.

• Provide support to Quality Team as needed.

• Interact with customer as needed for warranty analysis as subject matter expert.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting 20%, standing/walking 80%. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.
