Job Summary

Performs all required general ultrasound examinations assuring high quality patient care at all times. When needed, he/she is required to provide coverage for both Newburgh and/or Cornwall campuses of SLCH. Must be responsible for periodic On-Call duties and be available to respond within the timeframe outlined in the Radiology Policy and Procedure Guideline.

 

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer. Required
• One-year experience as an ultrasound technologist Preferred
• Technologist must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Formal training in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Demonstrated competence in performing general ultrasound.
• A working understanding and knowledge of equipment and physics of ultrasound.
• ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required
