Technology Engineer (Power)

The Technology Engineer (Power) plays a critical role in strategic technology development, platform and new product development, existing product support, and process conformance. This position directly impacts Tektronix’s strategy by driving innovation in power technologies and ensuring the successful deployment of technical platforms. The Technology Engineer (Power) reports to a Strategic Technology Manager.

• Develop and implement strategic power technologies.
• Design and test electrical power hardware, including isolated dc-dc converters and switch-mode power amplifiers.
• Perform circuit design, simulation, hardware prototyping, and testing.
• Ensure compliance with high-voltage and high-current safety standards.
• Address and mitigate electrostatic, magnetic, and RF noise coupling mechanisms.
• Lead large-scale projects and support the integration of new technologies and processes.
• Apply advanced professional concepts and drive strategic change and improvement.
• Act as a consultant to the manager on technological possibilities, limits, and costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.

• Four-year technical degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Practical knowledge and over 5 years direct experience designing and implementing electrical power hardware.
• Experience in architecture, circuit design, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
• Understanding of magnetic, optical, wireless, and capacitive power transmission techniques.
• Familiarity with multiple semiconductor technologies (Si, SiC, GaN, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to generate high-quality documentation. 
• Prior experience working effectively with remote domestic teams.
• Willingness to undertake some travel as required.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 120,500.00 - 223,900.00
