ADVANTEST ARIZONA
Previously doing business in the Valley as Essai Test Solutions (ETS),
Advantest
operates as a highly coordinated, multiple factory virtual network, based out of Chandler AZ.
Advantest
supports new product introductions (NPIs) for new products across all Test Socket providers. We are at a pivotal point of transition, change, and growth - delivering output in support of
Advantest’s
revenue and preparing for our vertical alignment strategy. The
Technology & Operations GM
is a Sr. Executive Level role within our organization. The Chandler site currently has over 250 employees and is responsible for introducing new products and processing modern generation pin and socket requirements. We are preparing to expand into our beautiful, new, 200,000 sf facility, and foresee increasing our headcount by 40% before the end of 2024.
Advantest
has invested in top-shelf technology resources, and we have spared no expense for our new CNC Machining Facility in Chandler by equipping it with Hermle RS2 Robot Cells that use 6-axis Kuka Robot feeding pairs of Hermle C22U 5-axis Machining Centers and 72 Hermle 5-axis CNCs with advanced automation technologies that uses Swiss fixturing and Robotics from Erowa. Our parts boast standard tolerances of +-.0004”, setting new benchmarks in the field.
YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting directly to the CEO, the
Technology & Operations GM
will be responsible for much more than simply leading the day-to-day factory operations. In this role you will be expected to consistently demonstrate the ability to act swiftly amid continuous transformation and challenges. procedures. You will need to question the status quo and be prepared to make decisions that will have an impact on the company and its shareholders. Your focus will be on the following:
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT ~
Leading multiple spans and layers up to VP level.
Build a compelling vision/mission; inspire and align leaders.
Drive the need for teamwork by demonstrating ability to motivate and lead management to exceed established goals.
SAFETY ~
Advantest
has a complex manufacturing environment with safety as the top priority.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by company policies.
Work with managers to ensure compliance with SEMI Safety Standards.
OPERATIONS ~
Direct all aspects of operations including effective administrative management, financial management and reporting, information technology, facilities, and human resource management.
Collaborate with teams across the organization and communicate frequently with executives, including the CEO.
Identify and develop long-term Operations strategies supporting the organization’s Mission and Vision.
Drive the critical nature of standardization to the company.
FINANCIAL ~
Control debt, ensure adequate cash flow, and control costs without sacrificing product integrity.
Identify, develop, and implement short and long-term strategies to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency within each operations department.
Drive accountability to P&L goals across all departments.

You have
at least 15 years' experience in the Semiconductor industry.
You have
a minimum of 10 years in senior operations and financial management.
You possess
demonstrated success working and influencing others in a high-mix, new product development cycle.
You have
a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
You have
an MSEE, MSME, or MBA degree. (preferred)
