Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Expense Management Financial Analyst to oversee telecommunication costs, IT service expenditures, and cloud/data expenses. In this role, you will analyze spending trends, optimize wireless and landline assets, perform invoice audits, and establish scalable processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.

You will work closely with IT and Finance leadership to manage high-level data reporting, track budgets, reconcile asset records across major carrier portals, and drive financial optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Expense & Invoice Analysis: Analyze, audit, and reconcile monthly telecom, cloud, and data invoices to identify billing discrepancies, eliminate cost inefficiencies, and secure savings.

  
  


• 
  

  Process Optimization: Establish and refine workflows for asset tracking, non-usage identification, vendor payments, and carrier bill reviews.

  
  


• 
  

  Asset & Carrier Reconciliation: Verify internal asset databases against major wireless carrier portals (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.) to ensure data integrity across thousands of active mobile devices. Zero-usage report processing is a key focus.

  Financial Planning & Budgeting: Prepare budget forecasts, analyze project spending against contract funding, track variance, and support annual budget planning including mid-year and year-end evaluations.

  Reporting & Dashboards: Design, build, and present executive-level financial reports, trend analyses, and interactive Power BI and ServiceNow dashboards.

  Data & Systems Management: Utilize ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, and advanced Excel features to execute high-volume data analysis, track historical trends, and streamline manual workflows through automation.

  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 
  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Core Experience: 6+ years of financial data analysis and financial management experience; 6+ years in telecom expense management (wireless, landline, cloud, and IT data expenses).

  
  


• 
  

  System Capabilities: 4–6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow (reporting & dashboards) and PeopleSoft.

  
  


• 
  

  Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling), Power BI, PowerPoint, and modern AI/automation tools.

  
  


• 
  

  Carrier & Telecom Domain: Deep expertise in wireless/mobile usage analysis, contract evaluation, and high-volume billing reconciliation.

  
  


• 
  

  Soft Skills: Superior problem-solving capabilities, high attention to detail, and exceptional written/verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial insights to executive leadership.
