Key Responsibilities:

  • Telecommunications Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of telecommunications systems, including routing, equipment, and infrastructure, to identify vulnerabilities that could impact mission execution.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Analyze communication-related risks, assess potential impacts on mission-critical assets, and develop mitigation strategies to enhance operational resilience.
  • Mission Assurance Support: Ensure all assessments align with DoDI 3020.45, AFPD 10-24, and AFI 10-2402, supporting the USAF’s Mission Assurance Construct and broader DoD policies.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies to senior USAF leaders and DoD stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mission assurance teams, cybersecurity experts, and infrastructure personnel to integrate findings into the Mission Assurance Assessment (MAA) process.
  • Infrastructure Analysis: Evaluate critical systems such as secure communication lines, data transmission pathways, and emergency communication capabilities to identify and resolve weaknesses.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Proven experience identifying and mitigating communications-related vulnerabilities across complex telecommunications systems.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including network routing, equipment assessment, and mission-critical communication systems.

  • Experience working within the DoD, preferably supporting mission assurance programs or critical asset risk management.
