Teller Position

Our Tellers are the heart of our excellence in member service! They provide a variety of services and assist members with savings accounts, checking accounts, credit credit cards, money orders, statements, and various transactions. They may respond to phone calls and inquiries, cash checks and process withdrawals, assist with mail, and counting currency or coin. Tellers are responsible for balancing a drawer, welcoming members quickly and efficiently, and offering products they may not be aware of. A high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and a positive attitude is required.

Requirements

Desired Education & Skills

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Exceptional communication and customer service skills

· Proactive in addressing member concerns

· Ability to learn and cross-sell new promotions and services

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Brings an outgoing, positive outlook and attitude

· Works well independently and on a team

· Strong computer literacy

· CUAnswers or credit union software knowledge preferred

Desired Experience

· Previous experience in a credit union or financial institution is highly desired

· In-person customer service experience required

· Cash handling preferred

· Sales and promotions experience a plus
