We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Miami, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for real estate law and a desire to contribute to a dynamic legal team. As a Temporary Real Estate Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal team with various real estate transactions and projects. You will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of real estate transactions, from initial client meetings to closing. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and drafting of legal documents related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, deeds, leases, and closing documents.
- Conduct title searches and review title commitments, surveys, and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate due diligence activities, including gathering and organizing property information, conducting research, and preparing summaries for review by attorneys.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to facilitate the smooth progress of transactions.
- Prepare closing binders and assist with closing logistics, including scheduling closings and coordinating with title companies.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files for each transaction.
- Assist with post-closing matters, such as recording deeds and mortgages, disbursing funds, and preparing closing statements.
- Stay updated on relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Paralegal certificate or relevant coursework preferred.
- Previous experience working as a paralegal, preferably in real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transaction processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with Florida real estate law and procedures is a plus.
