Our client, a national and growing corporation in the Chicagoland area, is looking for an experienced

Payroll Specialist

to join their team! This

Payroll Specialist

will be responsible for high-volume, multi-state payroll processing for multiple sites within the organization. If you are looking to grow your career within payroll, please apply today!

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
Check and validate payroll prior to transmission through the automated and manual banking systems
Manage pay for annual or semi-annual bonuses including quarterly bonus, holiday bonus and unused vacation
Review employee records for accuracy of employee data and approval of payroll deductions
Some experience processing payrolls through large ERP system
Sort and organize high volumes of Excel data

Payroll Specialist Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred experience with union and non-union payroll
Experience in Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics or other large ERP system
