Work collaboratively with clinicians, pharmacists and support staff to provide seamless, coordinated, quality care for patients at Yale Health.
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmaceutical products.
2. Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical and pharmacological principles related to drugs.
3. Thorough knowledge of procedures and protocols around notification and error reporting.
4. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, computer and analytical skills.
5. Excellent patient counseling skills required.
6. Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to move between tasks or procedures as operational priorities shift.
7. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a supportive and collaborative pharmacy team.
8. Excellent attendance, punctuality and reliability.

1. Prepares and dispenses medications, performs clinical screening including checking for proper drug prescribed, dosage, drug interaction and instructions to patients.

Health Requirements
This role is a healthcare worker position. Healthcare workers (HCW) are defined as university employees working a healthcare setting who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients, human research subjects or infectious materials including body substance, contaminated medical supplies, devices and equipment, surfaces, or air. HCW have specific health requirements that must be met prior to starting work, including MMR vaccine or immunity, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or immunity, TB screening, COVID vaccine according to University policy, hepatitis B vaccine or immunity, and annual flu vaccination.
