Job Description - Temporary Staff - Human Resources Coordinator

Responsibilities

Independence Physician Management (IPM),

is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc (UHS). IPM was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.
Position Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the HR team to include front office operations, process control and file maintenance (electronic and paper.) Serves as first point of contact to visitors, applicants and staff either in person, phone or electronic communications. Provides information and assistance for a broad range of HR related functions. Assists with projects and process as needed, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating events, generating reports, conducting onboarding appointments, data entry and maintenance in various systems. Produces and manages employee IDs and access controls.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Works with the Director, Human Resources, IPM to streamline and implement HR projects and initiatives in line with IPM HR Strategic Plan and operational goals. Pulls data analytics, payroll reports, and creates new employee files.
Assists with phone screens, coordinates new hire process, schedules employees for orientation, I-9's, compliance, and employee engagement activities.
Demonstrates the ability to assist employees, management, applicants and visitors in a friendly and curteous manner.
Works with field HR to ensure proper systems access. Resolves system administration issues.
Builds effective relationships with all levels of management and employees, including market leadership, HR Managers and IPM HR team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare related field is required but in lieu of college degree candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience. High School or GED is required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP OR CHHR certifications preferred.
Work experience : Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Human Resources field preferably in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint to include email, spreadsheets, database entry. Experience with HRIS System(s) desired (e.g. LAWSON). Must possess oral and written communication skills ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail. Working knowledge of employment law (federal, state and local). Requires the ability to work independently under general instructions on a wide variety of special projects, completing assignments within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Interpersonal Skills : Interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment. Promotes mutual respect and professionalism in working relationships. Strong customer relations/customer complaint resolution skills required. Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
