Starting Pay: $13.59-$21.52/hr based on education
Pathfinder Early Learning Center is looking for a Temporary Summer Camp Teacher to lead fun and educational experiences for children during our summer program. In this role, you’ll follow classroom plans, organize activities and field trips, and help kids build social and emotional skills in a safe and supportive environment.
This position runs throughout the summer months and is perfect for someone who loves working with children, planning exciting activities, and creating a positive classroom atmosphere.
As a Summer Camp Teacher at Pathfinder, You Will:
- Create a Fun and Safe Learning Environment
- Lead age-appropriate lessons, games, field trips, and activities.
- Use the Conscious Discipline Curriculum to teach social-emotional skills.
- Help kids build confidence, learn new things, and make friends.
- Work with coworkers to keep the classroom positive, safe, and organized.
Follow Licensing and Safety Standards
- Follow all Indiana Child Care Licensing Guidelines.
- Keep children safe, healthy, and engaged throughout the day.
- Make sure the classroom meets all health, safety, and environment regulations.
- Maintain required classroom postings and safety procedures.
Stay Active and Organized
- Maintain clear and accurate records and reports.
- Attend staff meetings and training opportunities.
- Be ready to adapt to changing schedules and classroom needs.
- Help plan and organize each day for success.

Requirements
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
- At least 18 years of age; must be at least 21 years of age to work with infants and toddlers independently.
- Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
- Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
- Essential physical skills – be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance; and be able to implement CPR and First Aid when needed.
- Shall have adequate vision, reading, writing, documentation skills, and hearing to perform the job's essential functions.
