Temp-to-Hire Staff/Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing consumer products company, is seeking a Staff / Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to make an impact within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong transactional accounting experience, a solid understanding of month-end close processes, and hands-on experience with NetSuite. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations while helping ensure accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.


• Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.


• Support month-end and year-end close activities.


• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions as needed.


• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.


• Support inventory accounting and related reconciliations.


• Research and resolve account discrepancies and variances.


• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits.


• Assist with financial reporting and management reporting requests.


• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.


• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various accounting initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• 3+ years of accounting experience for Staff Accountant level consideration; 5+ years for Senior Accountant level consideration.


• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.


• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.


• Required: Hands-on NetSuite experience, including transactional processing and reporting.


• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.


• Experience in inventory-based, manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products environments is a plus.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
