TENNIS COURT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Landscapes Golf Management and River Run Country Club are a Full Time Tennis Court Maintenance Technician.  This position will be responsible for a range of activities involved in the upkeep, grooming and conditioning of 9 Outdoor Clay Tennis Courts, 3 Outdoor Hard Tennis Courts, 5 Outdoor Pickleball Courts, 4 Indoor Tennis Courts, including the facility areas surrounding the courts. Previous Tennis Clay Court maintenance experience would be an asset.

JOB SUMMARY

Completes or coordinates all the daily upkeep and maintenance of our clay tennis courts, pickle ball courts; hard courts both inside and outside ensuring they are in optimal playing condition. This includes tasks such as watering, brushing, rolling, line maintenance, and overall court cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Performs daily clay court maintenance including brushing and dragging courts, watering to maintain proper moisture levels, rolling and maintaining court lines by brushing, sweeping, retaping or painting as needed.
2. Performs periodic maintenance including deep cleaning of the clay courts, top dressing and repair of divots and uneven areas.  
3. Monitors and maintains the irrigation system including sprinklers and timers of the clay courts.
4. Maintains hard court and pickleball courts ensuring playing surface is well groomed and consistently safe for players.
5. Maintains the cleanliness of surrounding court areas including walkways, benches, fencing, water coolers, cabana covers and bases.  
6. Ensures that all trash is properly removed from the court areas.
7. Restocks towels, cups, ice, coolers and other amenities as needed daily.
8. Ensures all tennis equipment is in proper working conditions and incompliance with local health codes.
9. Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies. 
10. Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by setting up tables and chairs, installing decorations and constructing display pieces.
11. Assists with housekeeping as necessary including cleaning toilets, sinks and floors, vacuuming, dusting windows, doors and shelves, replacing toilet paper and paper towels, laundering and folding linens and towels.
12. Maintains all current building and safety codes and complies with all safety regulations.
13. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
14. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations. 
15. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
16. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Experience in tennis court maintenance is highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of clay court construction, maintenance and best practices.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
4. Mechanical aptitude and safety conscientious.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. High school education required, college degree preferred.
2. 1-year tennis court maintenance experience preferred.
3. Prior experience with irrigation systems.
4. Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
