The Terminal Operator performs essential duties related to transferring liquids (such as chemicals, petroleum, or renewable products) between marine vessels, railcars, trucks, and storage tanks within the terminal.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely loads and unloads vessels, barges, railcars, and trucks.
Conducts inventory, converting gross gauge numbers to net using API, temperature, and VCF.
Performs transloading operations: truck to truck, railcar to truck, truck to railcar.
Gauges tanks, railcars, and trucks as required.
Ensures housekeeping at the workplace, maintaining terminal cleanliness.
Performs regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all equipment.
Safely operates movable equipment to load and unload materials and supplies.
Cleans job site and ensures all equipment, tools, and materials are returned to their proper place.
Receives 48 hours of training required by the USCG to become Dock PIC as a Dockman.
Participates in facility commissioning when required.
Participates in PHAs, PSSRs, design reviews and P&ID reviews.
Completes facility log sheets and round sheets.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of industry related experience in terminal, pipeline, or marine operations preferred
General knowledge of equipment and maintenance of pumps, meters, truck loading rack, and dock facility preferred
Certifications:
Obtain and maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card
Physical Demands and Hazard for Field Employees:
This position may require occasional travel to remote sites, potential exposure to flammable material, adherence to safety protocols, compliance with operating regulations, and will require rigorous physical demands.
