Hunter Davies is partnered with a leading US Engineered Valve supplier seeking a high-performing and ambitious Territory Sales Manager for their commercial team in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on growing market share in Houston across multiple industry verticals including Specialty Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Energy, and various industrial markets.
Role Overview: Title : Territory Sales Manager Location : Houston, Texas (Remote with regional HQ support) Focus : Expand market share and drive business development in highly technical and corrosive market environments.
Key Responsibilities: Sales and Promotion : Sell and promote Engineered Valve Products and aftermarket services through OEMs, Instrument Companies, and direct channels. Territory Management : Cover Houston sales territories, manage quotes, and train distribution partners on technology and applications. Customer Engagement : Build relationships, assist with product specifications, and conduct product information seminars. Strategy Implementation : Maintain territory plans, provide progress updates, and support field teams at global trade shows. Performance Monitoring : Develop sales action plans, evaluate distributor/rep performance, and coordinate inventory levels with Application Engineers.
Candidate Requirements: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial) or Business (Marketing, Technical Sales, Business Administration) preferred. Experience : 1-2 years in customer-facing sales roles, ideally with Engineered Valves or related products. Industry Knowledge : Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power Generation, or Renewables. Skills : Fluent in English, strong negotiation skills, organized, and technically adept. Travel : Willing to travel 50% within the Houston, Texas region.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary : $80-110K base + uncapped commission (20% gross margin). Benefits : Performance bonus, health & life insurance, Company Vehicle Plan, dental, and fringe benefits.
