About the Role: As a Territory Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and growing market share throughout the St. Louis region.
You'll spend time in the field meeting customers, identifying opportunities, understanding their operations, and providing transportation equipment solutions that add value to their businesses.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys the independence of managing a territory, developing relationships, building new business, and directly influencing their earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales within the assigned St. Louis territory.
• Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Consult with customers to understand their operational needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with service, parts, rental, and operations teams to provide exceptional customer support.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and pipeline opportunities within CRM systems.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
• Represent Trailer Equipment Company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in outside sales, B2B sales, transportation, equipment, trailer, or a related industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage and develop a sales territory.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable prospecting and developing new customer relationships.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
