As a Territory Sales Representative Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and learning the sales processes within the region. This position will give you hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings. You will work closely with the sales team, regional leadership, and customers, contributing to the overall success of the territory sales team. The ideal candidate is eager to develop sales skills and foster strong client relationships.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required or close to completion 
  • Previous experience in sales, inventory, or customer service is a plus, but not required

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, plus occasionally extended hours as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for travel to territories)
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to achieve targets
  • Excellent phone and cold-calling skills
  • Precision, accuracy, and meticulous follow-through
  • Strong interest in sales and business development
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges

Product Knowledge:

  • Learn about product offerings: Hyundai, Manac, Dorsey, Capacity, XL Specialized, and Used Equipment

Sales Processes:

  • Gain familiarity with prospecting, CRM systems, pipeline management, Karmak, LPO process, and Whiteboard techniques

Territory Management:

  • Learn to prospect for each territory in the region and create effective route plans for salesmen


Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: Close vision for computer work, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing: The ability to listen to, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Strength: The ability to lift a certain weight, endure long periods of physical activity, or work in physically demanding environments
  • Posture: The ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch
  • Movement: The ability to reach, handle, feel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
  • Other: The ability to work in a confined area, tolerate moderate noise, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders


Job Duties:

  • Gain an understanding of product offerings: Hyundai, Manac, Dorsey, Capacity, XL Specialized, and Used Equipment
  • Gain an understanding of sales processes: prospecting, CRM, pipeline, Karmak, LPO process, Whiteboard
  • Prospect for each territory in the region: Create a route plan for salespeople and attend routes for training and team building
  • Assist with setting up leads and quotes
  • Report in the CRM to the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Build reports on inventory for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Build reports on customers for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Assist the Used Equipment Coordinator and Sales team with used inventory and inspections
  • Back-up Inventory Specialist during vacations and projects
  • Back up Marketing by leading and posting inventory for sale online
  • Build reports on competition for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain a feedback loop: Establish a system for receiving regular feedback from mentors
  • Other duties as assigned
