We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at Elevate Semiconductor. In this role, you will take ownership of test hardware, equipment, and test programs that support our high-performance analog and mixed-signal IC production. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our production test operations by driving continuous improvements, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining optimal equipment performance.
The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver with a strong background in electrical engineering, hands-on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and proficiency in benchtop instrumentation. This is an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact in a fast-paced environment where innovation, precision, and collaboration drive success.
This role is based on-site in San Diego, California, and the expected start date is early January 2026.
Responsibilities
Write and debug test programs, in IGXL language for Ultraflex tester platform, and VB/C for Nextest testers
Own equipment and hardware maintenance and repair activities on the test floor
Manage up time on the test systems on the production flow
Collaborate with Operations team to maximize test cell availability through prioritization and execution of board diagnostics and troubleshooting
Support initial RMA evaluations on ATE and test program changes for screening customer return issues
Support test program optimization projects to improve
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
3–5 years of hands-on engineering experience in Analog IC Test
Proven experience in board-level diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and VB
Solid understanding of test hardware correlation, fixture matching, and GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) methodologies
Skilled in soldering and assembling both surface-mount and through-hole components for board-level repairs
Strong analytical ability to identify and resolve root causes of false test failures or passes
Preferences
Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
Hands-on experience with Nextest testers
Familiarity with large SoC test platforms, including Teradyne UltraFlex or Advantest 93K

The salary range for this role is $100,000.00-$115,000.00. The final compensation will depend on your experience, skill set, and how well you're able to highlight your background throughout the interview process.
