What You’ll Do:

The Test Tank Operator is responsible for testing AKG coolers designated for the Caterpillar customer to ensure they meet quality and leak free requirements. This role performs pressure and water testing using a test tank and hoisting equipment, accurately documents results, and communicates issues to Production and Quality teams while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area in compliance with AKG standards.

· Retrieve coolers from the conveyor and position them onto the test tank using a chain hoist or manual assistance. 

·  Install test plugs, connect hoses, and pressurize coolers according to testing requirements. 

·  Lower coolers into the test tank and visually inspect air bubbles or leaks. 

·  Remove coolers from the test tank, dry components, and remove testing equipment once testing is complete. 

·  Document test results, stamp approved coolers, and identify nonconforming units. 

·  Direct leak failed coolers to the repair line and communicate issues to appropriate personnel. 

·  Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. 

·  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all AKG policies, EMS, and safety requirements.  

·  High level of attention to detail when inspecting products for leaks 

·  Ability to use basic tools such as wrenches, blow guns, and plugs 

·  Understanding of safe material handling and hoisting procedures 

·  Ability to follow quality standards and document results accurately 

·  Clear communication skills to report defects or issues promptly

What We’re Looking For:

· Ability to safely perform assigned tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment 

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions 

· Reliable attendance and availability to work the scheduled shift 

· Ability to safely use basic hand tools and lifting equipment

· Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift 

· Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally 

· May be required to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn 

· Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack and chain hoist
