The Allies Therapist is a key member of our staff devoted to providing direct care and guidance to our clients and patients. In addition to individual and group counseling, the Therapist will work closely with Community Health, Client Services, and Clinic staff to integrate behavioral health into the spectrum of services Allies offers. Over the course of a two-year funding period, the Therapist will work to create a self-sustaining client base.

Responsibilities
Provide appropriate evidenced based treatment (i.e. counseling, therapy, intervention) informed by thorough mental health assessment and treatment planning
Collaborate, develop, and implement treatment plans and goals that reflect a client-centered, trauma informed approach with measurable outcomes
Complete clinical documentation within expected time frames, utilizing DAP format for progress notes; enter and maintain all treatment plans and assessments via EHR
Develop rapport with the diverse population of clients seen at Allies, regardless of their history, trauma, mental health background, substance abuse issues, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual or gender identity
Communicate and consult regularly with colleagues with whom you share case managed clients and clinic patients
Engage in consistent supervision with supervisor for case consultation/conceptualization, professional development
Provide group therapy as needed on site or in the community for clients receiving services at Allies
Develop relationships with external providers, resources, agencies, and/or other supportive services to better refer and provide continuity of care
Inform, instruct, and assist clients in connecting to resources and services
Maintain sufficient caseload and scheduled sessions to meet productivity standards and establish behavioral health services as a core sustainable program
Maintain Licensure CEU requirements

Requirements
Knowledge
Federal and PA confidentiality laws
Multiple therapeutic modalities
Referral processes to community resources
Concomitant issues associated with infectious disease, stigma, and physical health
Interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, and create overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage
Skills
Strong client service orientation and ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
Confidentiality
Electronic charting
Harm reduction interventions
CBT/DBT, Motivational interviewing
Build, foster and maintain client base
Education & Experience
Counseling experience with clients who are vulnerable to multiple social prejudices
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling required
LCSW or LPC required
The Therapist may be called upon to engage in physical activity related to general office work to stand or sit for extended periods. Current PA child abuse, PA criminal history, Federal criminal history clearances, and verification of TB test performed within the last year are required within the first 30 days of employment.
