Therapist

Mountain Valley Recovery is looking for a part-time therapist to join their team. 

Summary:

The therapist will perform individual, family, and group therapy to meet treatment goals and services. Further, they also perform assessments, create the client's treatment and discharge summary plans, and perform phased treatment plan reviews to document the client's treatment progress. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Upon the employee's 90 day and annual tenure, a Therapist should be able to perform the following job description contingencies:

• Work and cooperate with other staff


• Facilitate family therapy for clients and their families


• Attend regular multidisciplinary team meetings (both Clinical and Staff Meetings)


• Make appropriate outside referrals for clients and families' psychological and psychosocial needs prior to the termination of treatment


• Maintain service records in BestNotes


• Work with the treatment team and consult with the Clinical Director when needed


• Complete BestNotes assessment within 48 hours of client arriving at MVR


• Provide Data needed for BestNotes discharge summary 


• Assist MVR's Medical Insurance Biller with additional claim follow-up questions, as needed


• Complete Bestnotes Master Treatment Plan within 48 hours of client arriving at MVR

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are the representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Sitting for extended periods of time, walking, standing, twisting and bending for brief periods of time, occasional reaching and or grasping using hands and or arms. May be required to lift up to 10 pounds, regular use of hands requiring dexterity in using the telephone, computer keyboard, mouse or calculator. Visual ability to read documents and computer monitor. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Masters' Degree in Psychology with a professional license at a recognized educational institution or possess an LMAC, SUDC, Ph.D., CMHC, LCSW license at a recognized educational institution. 


• Must be at least 21 years old when submitting an application


• Pass an annual Federal Background Check


• Fully licensed in the state of Utah


• Maintain Valid CPR/First Aid


• Experience working with adolescents/young adults
