Overview    

HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.  We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.    

We are seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Counselor to join our Access & Intake Program. In this front-line role, you will be the first point of contact for individuals beginning their mental health or substance use recovery journey. About the Position

As a Therapeutic Counselor in Access/Intake, you’ll provide screenings, clinical assessments, referrals, and intake services for individuals initiating care with HOPE. You’ll help create a welcoming and trauma-informed environment where people feel safe and empowered. This position also includes crisis intervention, therapy, and coordination of services to ensure timely access to care.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to meet the needs of new clients and help them transition smoothly into ongoing services. This role is critical to ensuring that all individuals presenting for services are seen promptly—helping remove barriers and offering hope from the first encounter.

The Access & Intake program serves as the central entry point for individuals seeking behavioral health or substance use treatment at HOPE. Our team ensures that every person is greeted with empathy, screened thoroughly, and connected to appropriate internal or external resources. Whether someone needs therapy, case management, psychiatric care, or immediate support, the Access team helps guide the way.

Requirements

• Current license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LADC) in Oklahoma, or a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field with eligibility for licensure supervision. 

Skills 

• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills. 

• Ability to provide individual, family, and group therapy.

• Experience working collaboratively in a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment. 


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily intake goals
