Are you a compassionate, skilled mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We want YOU to join our team as a Therapist-Consultant at the Calais Residential Program. Help guide, support, and transform the lives of youth and families in need of mental health and substance abuse services.
Position Overview:
As a Therapist-Consultant, you'll oversee the clinical delivery of our residential services, ensuring that we meet the highest clinical standards. Your role will directly impact the lives of youth in the program by providing mental health assessments, therapy, consultation, and educational services to youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Consultation: Offer expert consultation and guidance to staff on admissions and treatment services for the residential program.
Direct Treatment Services: Provide psycho-social assessments, therapy (individual, group, family), professional in-service training, and community education to youth and their families.
Crisis Management: Engage in AMHC 24-Hour Emergency Service (HELPLine) by providing on-call consultation and guiding staff through crises, aiding in identifying alternatives to physical restraints or isolation when necessary.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all case records adhere to AMHC policies, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Performance Management: Collaborate closely with supervisors to assure clinical performance and contribute to professional development.
Welcoming Environment: Promote an inclusive, supportive environment for individuals seeking mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring, and community support services.
Integrated Services: Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive care for their health and well-being.
Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by your supervisor or Program Director.

Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, exempt position
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, or a Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Licensure: You must be licensed as a Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist in the State of Maine. If you are not licensed as an LCPC, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist.
