Job Description - TherapistLicensed

Who We Are:
South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Healthcare provider located in Southeast Palm Beach County, Florida, situated in the nationally designated All-American Seaside City of Delray Beach. The Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities.

PURPOSE
To provide weekly individual and group therapy to clients in the SRT program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
DEVELOP WARM AND SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH CLIENTS
· Asses client’s needs.
· Develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans with clients with in two weeks of intake.
· Provide therapy sessions (individual and group).
· Conduct individual therapy session.
· Conduct Group Therapy sessions at least twice a week.
· Re-assess client progress.
DOCUMENTATION
· Perform risk assessments on clients: PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS, DAST-10, Brief Trauma and Personal Safety Plan.
· Complete client Biopsychosocial.
· Maintain clinical record files in a complete and current fashion.
· Complete client notes on individual therapy and group therapy sessions.
· Complete client LOCUS during intake and discharge.
· PHQ-9 completion every 30days.
SUPPORT
· Transportation of clients to appointments when needed.
· Set up family therapy sessions as needed.
· Attend screenings with supervisor.
· Update treatment team regarding client progress and issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
BUSINESS/SUPERVISORY
Demonstrate the ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines, client rights requirements, and abide by a code of ethical and practice standards.
MEDICAL/MENTAL HEALTH
· Counseling children and adults with serious emotional disturbances
· Understand and apply various diagnoses and their implications
· Proficient in completing required forms and reports
WRITTEN & VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS
· Express ideas in clear, concise manner
· Provide summaries and recommendations
· Proficient in completing required forms and reports
BUSINESS/SUPERVISORY
· Knowledge of confidentiality laws and rules
· Knowledge of abuse reporting requirements
· Knowledge of ethics and clients rights
MEDICAL/MENTAL HEALTH

· Ability to work well with others
WRITTEN & VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS

AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
ADULTS - Support Therapy, Self Esteem, Behavior & Cognitive Approaches & Therapy, Anger Management
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· MA/MS degree in Social Work or related Human Services field
· One (1) year experience with children, adolescents or adults with emotional disturbances
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
3 years experience
