AT&T Consulting is hiring a Threat Implementation Engineer to deploy and refresh enterprise Threat platforms (secure web gateways, proxies, SSL offload, threat detection) in a large financial environment. You’ll own hands-on engineering, technical planning, and change execution across DMZ and core network infrastructure for high-profile security projects.
Support Cybersecurity Release & Deployment and Lifecycle Refresh initiatives for enterprise Threat platforms—deploying new systems and upgrading end-of-life or non-permitted technologies with zero impact to production networks.
Lead technical planning and logistics to hit targeted deployment schedules and annual refresh/build commitments.
Analyze evolving business and technology requirements, interface with technology engagement teams, and propose best-in-class Threat solutions that align with security and business needs.
Work closely with Design Engineering, Security Architecture, and Engineering teams in a “knowledge sharing” capacity to onboard new technologies, processes, and system changes.
Identify and drive service delivery improvements, defining objective measures to track impact over time.
Adhere to all work effort and project close-out practices: database and CMDB updates, asset and inventory tracking, records retention, and updates to related systems, tools, and processes.
Operate within a complex bank network infrastructure and associated risk management practices, supporting secure deployments across DMZ and core environments.
Experience
5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with enterprise Threat solutions in large-scale or financial environments.
Deep experience in Threat platform design, low-level engineering, deployment, and optimization of new hardware and software systems.
Technical skills
Hands-on experience building, operating, and deploying Threat platforms, including several of:
Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway
F5 SSLO
Trellix FireEye
Blue Coat ProxySG / Secure Web Gateway
Strong understanding of DMZ networking, secure network segmentation, and Cisco routing/switching.
Administrator-level ability with UNIX/Linux is highly desirable.
Programming/scripting skills a plus: sh, Perl, Python, Golang, C, C++.
Implementation & delivery
Proven ability to lead technical planning, risk mitigation, and deployment sequencing for complex Threat implementations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow refined processes with strong attention to detail while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
Willingness to support night and weekend changes as required for implementation windows.
Collaboration & mindset
Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort interacting with multiple levels of management, clients, and technical teams.
Proactive, ownership-oriented mindset—willing to volunteer for high-impact work, take responsibility for deliverables, and escalate risks early.
Preferred
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Security and networking certifications (e.g., CISSP, vendor-specific) highly preferred.
Prior banking / financial services experience strongly recommended.
