DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to announce that the State Courts Administrator’s Office (SCAO) is looking for a Threat Management Coordinator. The Threat Management Coordinator is a member of the State Court Administrator’s Office emergency management team and provides advanced professional work around reported incidents and threat management for the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
This role is responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of a comprehensive threat management program designed to identify, assess, mitigate, and respond to incidents reported and threats directed at judicial officers and court staff. Work requires participation and coordination with law enforcement, security partners, as well as coordination with Appellate Courts, State Court Administration, District Courts, and district and local Court Administration offices.
The position serves as a subject-matter expert on incident triage, behavioral threat assessment, protective intelligence, and risk mitigation. Work is performed in accordance with federal and state laws and state judicial branch policies. Work is performed independently under limited supervision of the Deputy State Court Administrator. Work is performed in collaboration with the Branch’s Emergency Manager. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences and reports and based on results achieved.

SALARY RANGE:
The expected starting salary range for external candidates is $40.08 - $51.11 per hour ($83,687 - $106,718 annually). The full salary range for this position is $40.08 - $62.14 per hour ($83,687 - $129,748 annually). This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for state of MN employee benefits.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Position Logistics:
This full-time position is classified as a Court Operations Analyst II. The role operates in a hybrid work environment, with occasional days on-site at the Minnesota Judicial Center in Saint Paul, as business need dictates. Occasional in-state travel and some non-standard hours are required.
Physical Demands: Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying items under 25 pounds such as papers and files.
