Thrift Store Driver
Position Overview
Provide vehicle transportation of in-home donated goods from AHS donors. These items will include large pieces of furniture and boxes of home goods. Drivers will also transport donated dog food from various sources. Continuous driving throughout Maricopa County picking up in-kind donations and transporting them to one of our three thrift stores for resale. Constant heavy lifting.

Language - Able to speak, read and write English and complete paperwork accurately and legibly; Spanish language helpful
Mathematical - Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
Technical - Able to learn software programs as necessary.
Other:
Regular attendance and punctuality required. All Thrift Driver positions are required to drive AHS vehicles and are designated as safety sensitive; misdemeanor and felony charges and/ or convictions, inability to pass driving background, or failure to pass drug or background screening may disqualify candidates from the position.
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive vehicles, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds to a height of 4 feet. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Typical work environment will be out of the office, driving a truck in a safe manner, working in the field.
