Tire Technician

Job Responsibilities

● Remove and install pre-mounted tire and wheel assemblies on trucks and trailers.

● Replace steer, drive, trailer, and super single tires.

● Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper air pressure.

● Check tire tread depths and identify unsafe tire conditions.

● Inspect wheel studs, lug nuts, and mounting surfaces.

● Properly torque wheel fasteners to manufacturer specifications.

● Safely operate hydraulic jacks, impact guns, and torque wrenches.

● Maintain organized tire inventory and storage areas.

● Document tire replacements and report damaged or unsafe tires.

● Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures.

● Assist with other shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

● Experience with commercial truck and trailer tires preferred.

● Basic knowledge of tire inspections and wheel installation.

● Ability to operate tire service tools safely.

● Ability to perform physically demanding work.

● Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
