Job Description - Title Agent

Summary of position:


To process title transfers – include new plate, plate transfers, intransit out of state, export, dealer bought & sold transactions -  as well as handle any problems with titles and to keep accurate records of all titles. To collect, correct and verify that all titled vehicles, motor homes, watercrafts, trailers, etc. are present and available before the auction. To be clear and respectful when informing customers about company policies. To kindly direct customers in next step in pick up process.  This position does require Saturday work from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Job would be 34-42 hours each week. 


 


Schedule:


Monday - 9AM-4PM
Tuesday - 9AM-4PM
Wednesday - 9AM-4PM
Thursday – shifts would be 9AM-4PM or 12 Noon - 8PM
Friday - 9AM-4PM
Saturdays 9AM-12 Noon

Essential Job Functions:


 


Typical Title Based Duties 



  • Type RD-180’s/TR-11’s/WR-11’s accurately and complete title transfer process

    • Including issuing temporary plates, Repeat Offender Search,



  • Look up Secretary of State Website and Vin #s when needed

  • Print titled vehicle report for auction

  • Correspond with AFC/NextGear/Other floor plan institutes regarding dealer titles and securing titles

  • Update Police Book

  • Troubleshoot issues with titles – TR-54 Inspections, Secretary of State Returns, etc

  • Completing title preparation for each Repocast auction

  • Verify that every item in auction that needs a title has one

  • Move items if titles are not received

  • Know Title and Lien Release procedures

  • Other duties as requested by manager

  • Perform necessary functions in QuickBooks


 


Would be cross-trained on Cashier & Check In/Contract Processes as well in order to accept payments/create contracts for selling items which may come up in this position:


Typical Check In Duties



  • Start contracts in the appropriate auctions with customers selling items

  • Ensure all information is accurate and complete

  • Confirm consignor payout information is correct

  • Use proper grammar and spelling

  • Add lots to contracts on occasion

  • Edit and review auction items for errors

  • Ensure accurate category placement

  • Confirm accurate pictures and matching descriptions

  • Use online search tools to verify questions on items

  • Edit any descriptions from customer requests or manager requests

  • Making changes to locations



Typical Cashier Duties



  • Take the correct amount of payment from the customer, using appropriate devices and procedures

  • Accurately count down drawer daily and balance with paid invoices using the cashier balance sheet

  • Complete/attach/file required forms (i.e. tax exemption, IRS 8300, etc.)

  • Communicate with warehouse workers

  • Help answer customer questions

  • Keep cash drawer organized

  • Direct customers to where they need to pickup & coordinate with our employees for efficient pickup

  • Other duties as requested by manager
