Title Clerk

Description

The Automotive Title Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle titles and related documents in accordance with state and federal regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a good understanding of automotive finance and legal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Title Processing: Process vehicle titles, including verifying information, preparing paperwork, and submitting to the appropriate state agencies.
• Registration Processing: Process vehicle registrations, including completing applications, paying fees, and obtaining license plates.
• Lien Releases: Prepare and process lien releases to ensure clear vehicle titles.
• Document Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of all title and registration documents.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with title and registration questions and concerns.
• Compliance: Stay up-to-date on state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.  
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: 
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of state and federal vehicle title laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and handling documents.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Good eyesight for reading and reviewing documents.
