We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Tag and Title Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to ensuring vehicle transactions are processed smoothly and accurately, both for our customers and our internal operations.

Job Description:

The Automotive Tag and Title Clerk will be responsible for processing vehicle titles and registrations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will work closely with our sales, finance, and service departments to manage documentation efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  Prepare and process title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicles

  Submit documents to the appropriate state agencies in a timely manner

  
  


• 
  

  Verify vehicle title and registration documents for accuracy

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain and organize customer records and title files

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate with DMV offices to resolve issues or follow up on paperwork

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with state laws and dealership policies

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with other administrative duties as needed

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Previous experience in an automotive dealership, preferably in a title clerk or administrative role

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of state DMV regulations and titling requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Current notary public commission (required)

  
  


• 
  

  High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent organizational and time management skills

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and customer service abilities

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in computer systems and dealership management software (CDK/ADP experience a plus)

  High school diploma or equivalent required
