Responsibilities:
- Handle all paperwork for new and used vehicles sold both in-state and out-of-state, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to all title laws and filing requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Issue payment checks to the Department of Licensing and process refunds to customers as required.
- Manage the processing of dealer trades and wholesale transactions.
- Ensure all vehicle sales deals are accurately recorded and filed.
- Oversee the purchase and payoff of trade-ins and other used vehicles.
- Prepare and send finance documents to lenders to secure funding.
- Liaise with customers and the DMV to resolve any title or documentation issues.
- Order and manage office and operational supplies.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support dealership operations.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 – 3 years of Title Clerk experience in a retail automotive environment.
- Familiarity with Ignite/Reynolds DMS is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong commitment to follow established policies and procedures.
- Capable of quickly and proficiently learning new systems and processes.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic participant in a team environment.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Consistent and stable employment record.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen before employment.
