Title Clerk - Automotive Accounting

Title Clerk Key Responsibilities:

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration for 3 dealerships.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles through DLRDMV.
• Submit out of state title work.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles.
• Signs over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full. Ensure that all items on schedule are current.
• Communicates with finance department for tag and title issues
• Post daily deal fundings
• Verify schedules and issue refund checks if needed
• Stays abreast of title regulations.

•  Previous Automotive Accounting/Title Clerk experience is preferred.
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Strong proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
