Title Processing Specialist I

Job Description

Tekion is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Processing Specialist I to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify title information for accuracy and negotiability. 

• Process title reassignments and releases for sellers and buyers. 

• Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, such as title applications, repossession affidavits, and correction affidavits. 

• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries and resolving title issues. 

• Collaborate with state DMV/BMV agencies to address title-related concerns. 

• Monitor title aging to ensure timely processing and follow-up. 

• Assess and determine appropriate outcomes for title release requests. 

• Post charges and submit check requests for state work. 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in the auction/automobile industry or at a Department of Motor Vehicles (with a focus on title processing). 

• OR a combination of education and experience, such as a degree/certification in a related field and up to 1 year of relevant experience. 

• OR 5 years of experience in a related field. 

• Proven experience in vehicle title processing and handling. 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Proficiency in typing and 10-key data entry. 

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach. 

• Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations.
