Orthotic Fitter/ATC in Stamford Connecticut:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine orthotic needs and goals.
• Take accurate measurements and impressions for custom orthotic devices.
• Fabricate, fit, and adjust orthotic devices according to patients' specifications and prescriptions.
• Provide comprehensive education and training to patients on the proper use and maintenance of orthotic devices.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals like Orthotists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, fittings, and follow-up appointments.
• Stay updated on advancements in orthotic technology and techniques through continuing education and training.

Qualifications:

Certified as an Orthotic Fitter and/OR Athletic Trainer preferred but not required.

B.S. in healthcare-related discipline

1-2 years of experience in a patient care role (i.e. Physical Therapy Technician, DME Coordinator, Clinical Extender)

Working knowledge of orthopedic soft goods, bracing, splinting, or range of motion is considered a plus.
