Duties Performed but not limited to:

• Assist children both physically and developmentally with the transition of multiple programs and in different spaces throughout the facility.


• Assess/help assess children and recognize developmental goals and milestones and communicate those to parents.


• Responsible for all aspects of care for children enrolled in our school and upholding Karter School’s policies and philosophy.


• Facilitate engaging activities that foster a love of learning for each child.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Montessori Experience but not Mandatory

• BA Degree in Childhood Education or a closely related field / CDA


• Passion for teaching and working with children in group settings and individually


• Excellent customer service skills in person and on the phone


• Comfortable with the team-based work structure


• Ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job


• Strong written and verbal skills


• Initiative, conscientiousness, and comprehensive follow-through in areas of responsibility


• Excellent health and agility to perform job responsibilities of a teacher of young children


• Ability to consistently model superior teaching and caregiving skills
