Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Matthews, North Carolina, is looking for a Toddler Teacher with a qualifying letter to join our team!

We are looking for staff with a North Carolina qualifying letter, recent TB test, and physical.
Pay starts between $16.00 - $20.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.
Benefits:- Full-time staff members have the ability to earn up to 96 hours of PTO and 66 hours of sick pay a year.

Responsibilities:- Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for two-year-olds.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
- Track children's progress and report to parents
- Helping children with potty training
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Desired Candidate
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)
- TB test and Physical
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
