Tolling Subject Matter (SME)

About the Role:

HJ Staffing is actively recruiting a Tolling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the toll road. This position will be pivotal in integrating, managing, and supporting the agency’s tolling technologies and external system partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Act as a technical and operational SME for toll systems, including back-office systems (RITE), roadside systems (Infinity), and key integrations (e.g., DMV, ICRS, CUSIOP).

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate across departments, including Customer Support, Data Analysts, and Project Managers, to support tolling operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide technical guidance during system implementation, upgrades, or changes across both internal and external stakeholders.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in interoperability discussions and meetings with external agencies and vendors to ensure seamless integration and performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot and resolve tolling system issues related to external interfaces, customer service centers, and system performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Support projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  

  At least 2 years of relevant experience in toll system integration, back-office solutions, or related tolling environments.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience coordinating with technical and non-technical teams, including external vendors.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage interface specifications and troubleshoot tolling issues with cross-functional impact.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with interoperability standards and tolling partnerships across agencies.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  

  Experience with RITE, Infinity, or similar toll systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Project management certifications (PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum) are preferred, or 2+ years of practical experience managing toll-related or technical projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Background in transportation, mobility, or infrastructure agencies is highly desirable
