HireNow Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker for a reputable manufacturing company in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-precision environments and takes pride in producing, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments

• Construct and repair dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures

• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and CAD models

• Inspect completed parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications

• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and dies to ensure production efficiency

• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Tool and Die apprenticeship program preferred

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in tool and die making

• Proficiency with CNC, manual milling, lathes, grinders, and other machine shop equipment

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
