Tool & Die Maker

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES        

• Repair, maintain and make improvements to all tools and fixtures
• Demonstrates ability to use all hand measurement tools.
• Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required
• Safely operate all tool room equipment inclusive of Bridgeport mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc.
• Have abilities to assemble and disassemble tooling, dies and gauges
• Trouble shoot and resolve tooling problems
• Work with various materials such as tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper
• Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment
• Demonstrates ability to read and interpret tooling drawings

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; journeyman certification and/or equivalent experience preferred. This position is intended for senior-level or highly experienced candidates; entry-level applicants will not be considered.
